Kenya’s Wilson Kipsang set a new world record for the marathon in Berlin this morning.
According to Flotrack, Kipsang finished in a time of two hours, three
minutes, and 23 seconds (an average pace of 2.55 per Km). The
previous record, 2:03:38, was set by fellow Kenyan Patrick Makau.
Since 2003, the men’s world marathon record has been broken five times, and every one of those records took place in Berlin.
